Marietta & Aaron Mixon

On July 23, 2011 it marked a new milestone in the lives of Marietta and Aaron. Marietta, affectionately know as Mary, is a long time friend that I met a church many years ago. Over the years Mary, my wife Phyllis and I became good friends. We were excited to hear that Mary and Aaron were getting married. What a time, what a time it was to photograph their wedding day. Thanks Mary & Aaron for the opportunity to create memories for you to cherish. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Mixon. We pray for blessings and success in spending the rest of your lives together.

Wendy & Robert Taylor Wedding

I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Wendy & Robert Taylor. The wedding was "FABULOUS"! The bride was once a member of my church and the groom has family members that are at my church. On June 11, 2011 they made it official. Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Taylor for giving me a chance to be apart of one of the greatest celebrations in your lives. Also special thanks to Malia Dadez for assisting me as a second photographer. I could not have done this by myself.

People Who Support What You Do

I am a firm believer that you need a team in order to reach your goal. It doesn’t matter what you are doing. If you are starting a business you need support of family, friends, vendors, bankers, customers, etc. I’m glad that I surround myself with people who support and push me to the next level. Besides the number one cheerleader in my life, Phyllis my wife, Cheryl Dennis has been supportive of my business from the first day. There are many others who support me and I will give them a spotlight soon by mentioning how they have helped me.

When I announced that I started my photography business Cheryl was the first to bring me my first paying customers. She volunteers to coach the Los Angeles Southwest Middle College High School cheerleaders. What a great group of young ladies! I had the privilege to do a photo shoot with the group and we had a great time. We did group, individual and action portraits. Cheryl was my volunteer sales representative. She made sure the cheerleaders were on time for the shoot, collected all the photo orders, delivered the photo orders and anyone who didn’t place their order on time it was Cheryl that called. Wow! She’s constantly referring customers to us.

What do you do for people who support you? Even if you don’t have the monetary means to pay them you can still do something for those who support you. First, start by saying “Thank You”. These two small words go along way when they come from the heart. People just want to know that you appreciate them. Second, use what’s in your hands to show your gratitude. I gave Cheryl a complimentary photo shoot to say thanks for her support. It doesn’t take much to show gratitude just use what you have and give it from your heart. Finally, let those who support you know what you are doing. Usually these are people who know other people. They will get other people involved because that’s what they like to do.

Thanks Cheryl for all your support. This post is for you!

E.V.O.L.V.E. Leadership Conference 2011

I had a great time with the Bishop Johnny Withers and staff at Unity Christian Fellowship, Compton, CA as they hosted their 2nd Annual E.V.O.L.V.E. Leadership Conference.  This year’s theme was “The Crossover” which is centered on building an impactful and effective team. The facilitators challenged pastors and leaders to bridge the gap between tradition and the truth of how ministry needs to become more forward thinking and progressive in this day and age. Pastors from all over the city brought their leadership team for training.

Ronderick Henry Studios was on site capturing the moments during the conference. We can come and photograph your next event. Call us 951-251-4463.

Christmas Was Fun!

For the past few years the family holiday gatherings have been at my house. This year I decided to do something different. I texted message my family to let them if they wanted their photos taken to be prepared with all the essentials of a photo shoot.

The family came prepared. There were so many great photos. Some looked like "a modler" (in the voice of Madea). It was hard work but also fun. It really takes a lot of patience to work with kids and you really have to be ready for whatever happens. I got some really cool candid photos that I will only share with the family.

To see the photo please click here. If you like the work that I have done call me to book your own photo shoot 951-251-4463.

The Adventures of Ronderick & Friends

Last weekend a few friends and I decided to take a ride to San Diego, CA. Ryan, Cat, Eric and myself reached our rally point in Moreno Valley. The weather was very cool in Moreno Valley, CA but when we got near to San Diego it warmed up.

Cat who is Ryan's girl friend suggested that we eat at a place called Hodad's which is in Ocean Beach, CA. I must admit that Hodad's has one of the BEST BURGERS I have ever ate in my life. They will be seeing me again.

Fat and full it was time for us to head back home before it got to late. The more the sun went down the faster we rode to try to make it  home because it was cold. I always enjoy riding with my friends. It gives me a chance to clear my mind and relax. I look forward to riding next week to the International Motorcycle Show at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, CA.
